Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is working on several new smartphone. One of them is the news that the Mi 12S smartphone will be released by the end of this year. Xiaomi has not commented on this yet, but it is being said that this will be the new flagship phone from the company. Meanwhile, the base variant of the phone was spotted on the benchmarking platform. The phone was found on the popular benchmarking app Geekbench. Some time ago the Pro model of the phone was also listed on the 3C certification website.

According to the reports, 67W fast charging can be seen in the Mi 12S smartphone. Similar products can be made on the 12S Pro smartphone. Furthermore, the phone could feature an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate as well as a 50-megapixel main camera at the back. For the cameras, the company is hoping to partner with Leica, which may supply the lenses for the phones.

It is being said that the base model of Mi 12S smartphone will be equipped with an octa-core processor. The phone is listed in the Geekbench database as model number 2206123SC. At the processor level, the phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Probably it is coupled with Adreno 730 GPU. The Geekbench database shows the phone with 12GB of RAM, but the device is likely to come with multiple RAM and storage options.

The device is said to have scored 1328 in the single-core test and 4234 in the multi-core test on Geekbench. The Mi 12S smartphone is said to run on Android 12 operating system with MIUI 13 layer.

The device is likely to launch in China in the next few months, followed by global market figures. Meanwhile, there is some exciting news for fans awaiting the release of the Mi 12 Extreme Commemorative Edition to be released in July. That said, the Mi 12 ultraphone is likely to release next month. Key specifications and renderings of the phone have been leaked online.
