Chelsea beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on the 20th to advance to the Champions League quarter-finals 2-1 on aggregate.
The Englishman's job is in jeopardy after a season in which he has so far failed to bring in more than a world record £500m ($600m) of new contracts in a single season.
Chelsea have won just three of their last 16 games, dropping to 10th in the Premier League and exiting two domestic cup games early.
However, some of their expensive star collections arrived just in time to continue the hunt for a third European Cup.
"I feel great in the locker room. We've been through some tough times and this game means a lot to us," Porter said.
"We want to improve and make it to the final quarterfinals and that prepares us for the weeks ahead."
Dortmund arrive in England with a 10-game winning streak in all competitions.
